This 4 week water colour class introduces youg artist to the basics of paiting in a fun, relxed, and encouraging envionment. students will elarn how watercolour workds through hands on acticities, creative play and guided projects.

Each class focuses on building confindence, experinemting with colour, and developing basic paintings skills- no prior art expericne needed. the emphasis is on creativity, exploration, enjoying the process rather taht perfaction.

by the end of the session, students will complete several paintings and one final art work they’ll be proud to take home.

COURSE OVERVIEW

Week 1: Basics

Week 2: brush control /nature scene

Week 3: wet-on wet, and texture effects

Week 4: Final project

They will learn what watercolour is:

  • How to hold a brush,

  • Water vs paint and colour mixing.

  • We will do a colour wheel

  • From there we will learn diffenrt shapes, lines that make up nature

  • Learn different techniques to create different textures.

  • How to layer paint

  • A step by step final project
